The police along Zaria road in Kano averted what would have been a fatal crisis after they restricted a female bomber from mingling with the crowd at a mosque.She dramatically detonated the bomb and blew up herself.
A bloody event was averted on the 6th of July, 2015 at 9:30pm when a suspected suicide bomber scheduled to blow up Aliyu bn Abi Talib Mosque, Dangi Roundabout , Kano yesterday was deterred by a standing police team around the mosque stationed along the Zaria road.
The police team suspected her movement and swiftly moved to obstruct her from crossing the road into the mosque to join the mammoth crowd. This frustrated her as she reportedly set off the explosive device she was wearing and blew up herself. No casualty was recorded.
The scene has been taken over by the police with intense investigations into the incident.
