Bus passengers have been given the shock of their lives after their driver was shot dead while driving.

Pure commotion took over a bus when the driver was shot dead on transit.
The man was killed while transporting about 50 people along Old Wartburg Road in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, on Monday evening.
According to News24, the vehicle went down an embankment and crashed into the front of a house after the driver, believed to be 50, was shot, said ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing.
"Paramedics found the bus driver still in the bus. Sadly there was nothing that could be done for the man. He was declared dead," she said.
She said paramedics treated and transported one patient from the bus to hospital for minor injuries.
All other passengers refused hospital treatment.
Further details on the shooting were not immediately available.
KwaZulu-Natal police said they would comment at a later stage.
