The baby was rescued by the police
This is the shocking moment a two-week-old infant was miraculously rescued from a 30-feet pit latrine in Narok County, Kenya.
The incident took place on Thursday.
The Kenyans reported that the baby was dumped in the toilet located near a slaughterhouse by a woman believed to be the mother. An eyewitnesses revealed that they saw a woman heading to the toilet with a wrapped baby but on leaving, she no longer had it.
Officers at the slaughterhouse heard cries emanating from the toilet and alerted the police. The police who arrived at the scene used a long rod to hook on the baby's swaddle and removed it alive.
The newborn was rushed to Narok County Referral Hospital for emergency treatment and the police are now investigating the matter.
