As the All Progressives Congress crisis intensifies, Former Lagos Governor and national party leader of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has picked a new enemy by attacking former House of Representatives Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal who is currently the Governor of Sokoto state.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a national party leader of the All Progressives Congress seems to still be nursing bitterness against the political players that marred the election of Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila as the honourable Speaker of the House Of Representatives in Nigeria.

He has indicted the current governor of Sokoto state, Governor Aminu Tambuwal in his supportive roles of the newly emerged Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara. This was revealed when Tinubu hosted Tambuwal at his Asokoro residence in Abuja. According to a reliable source, Tinubu expressed his pains to Tambuwal's face.

In his words:

“with what you did to Femi Gbajabiamila in the House, you have severed the umbilical cord joining you with the South-West.”

“Did you people in the House do this in anticipation of 2019…It is too early. You should allow this government to succeed,” This was revealed while with some top members of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja.

Tinubu emotionally reminded the governor of Sokoto state of the role Gbajabiamila played in his election as leader of House of Reps in 2011.

The APC leader claimed that Tambuwal stampeded Abdulazeez Yari the governor of Zamfara state into coaxing members from his state to vote against Gbajabiamila.

Openly penalized, ex-speaker hastily pleaded with Tinubu to forget the matter, saying “it appears this is not a good time to come and see you,. I’ll come back again some other time.”

It should be noted that Tinubu was rumoured to acquire the APC presidential ticket for Aminu Tambuwal costing N21 million as a back up plan in case President Muhammadu Buhari stepped down. This goes a long way to show the close relationship they shared in the past.
