PDP House Of Assembly Member Sacked By High Court

Benue state House of Assembly member, Mattew Ire representing Oju 2 state constituency under the banner of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been relieved of his duties by a federal high court sitting in Markurdi, Benue state.

 
Honourable Mathew Ire of the Benue state House of Assembly representing Oju 2 state constituency has been thrown out of office through an injunction by a Federal Hight Court sitting in Markurdi, Benue state.
 
 
Matthew Ire was relieved of his duties by Justice Binta Nyako on the grounds of illegal substitution by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the party primaries claiming the name of the actual winner of the primaries was substituted with Ire, who did not score the highest votes as the  winner.
 
According to the Judge's order, Matthew Ire will vacate his office with immediate effect. His certificate of return issued to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will be withdrawn and handed over to Micheal Adigwu rightfully.

According to the Nigerian Tribune, Ire contested with Agi Micheal Adigwu and Jairus Erube during the PDP House of Assembly primaries on November 29, 2014 where he was falsely declared the winner of the primaries.
