It was revealed that up to about 70 trucks of grains which were sent to Adamawa State to aid victims of insurgency, have suddenly disappeared.

According to Vanguard, the trucks of grains were sent as part of the Presidential initiatives for victims of Boko Haram insurgency, however they have been reported missing in transit.

Stakeholders and beneficiaries, who spoke to journalists in Yola yesterday, frowned at the way the distribution of the commodities was carried out, regretting that the commodities were distributed to relatives of distributors, instead of those the commodities were meant for.

A member of the National Assembly, representing Madagali and Michika Federal constituency, Adama Kamale, expressed worry that the commodities went into the wrong hands.

Kamale revealed that Madagali and Michika local governments, being his constituency and most affected local governments by the insurgency, did not receive a single grain.

He said as the representative of the people, he was telling the nation, the world and the state that the people of Michika and Madagali did not benefit from the so-called distribution.

This revelations are coming against the backdrop that the few bags of grains that were distributed in the state some months back did not get to the targeted persons, but given out to party loyalists and their cronies.
