A Nigerian woman has made the country proud as she has won the first medal for Nigeria in the ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Latifat Tijani has won silver at the women’s 45kg Powerlifting
 
Nigeria has won its first medal at the ongoing ongoing Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. 
 
 
Latifat Tijani won silver in the women’s 45kg Powerlifting after lifting 106kg behind China’s Hu Dandan, who set a new world and paralympic record with her lift of 107kg.
