Fake Pastor And Brother Docked For Alleged N1.7 million Fraud in Ekiti

A fake pastor and his brother have been arraigned in an Ado-Ekiti Magistrate Court for fraud worth N1.7 million.

 
 
Thursday, 9th of July, welcomed the case of a fake Pastor named Ademola Alade and his brother, Adewumi Alade in an Ado-Ekiti Magistrates’ Court for fraud worth N1.7 million.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Caleb Leranmo told the court that the accused persons standing trial for N1.7 million fraud, committed the offense on Nov. 7, 2014. According to him, the accused fraudulently obtained the named sum from 7 individuals in exchange for employment opportunities in the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
 
The names of the victims are Femi Olowo, Emmanuel Ojo, Ireti Ojo, Gbenga Oluwasuyi, Kayode Dada, Fisayo Olubumo and Ayodele Omosowon.
 
The accused person pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Doyin Akosile. The magistrate granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 and two sureties each in like sum, who must be a civil servant on grade level 14.

She adjourned the case till July 27 for further hearing.
