The influx of commercial s*x workers in Delta State has become an embarrassment to the South-south State at large with the prostitutes becoming daring.

Residents of the Asaba metropolis in Delta State have lamented bitterly on the increasing rate of prostitution in the state according to the Leadership.

The pleasure practitioners have been accused of abusing all health safety measures to make quick money from customers.

One of the residents, Comrade Emeka Okonta expressed concern on the high rate of the menace, especially with teenagers being very active in the business.

Investigations revealed that teenage girls between 12 and 13 years believed to be secondary dropouts, during nightfall are seen in strategic places clad in skimpy dresses that barely cover their Unclothedness to woo sexually hungry man.

Some residents who spoke to a reporter on condition of anonymity however advised women/ladies involved in the act to have a change of heart, considering the health, religious implications of prostitution and called on security agents to take appropriate steps to curb the trend.

Further investigation revealed that during nightfall, these s*x workers lurk around Texas plaza, Asaba township stadium along Nnebisi road, Summit Junction and Cable Point looking for patrons, and in most cases they embarrass visitors coming into Asaba the first time as they descend on them allegedly demanding sex without the use of condom.

But the police commissioner in the state, Mr. Zanna Ibrahim in a swift reaction, said the police will soon raid them off the streets of Asaba, adding that their recent influx constitutes ways for hoodlums to operate.
