A village administrator trying to enforce law in his community has landed in trouble after he allegedly beat a young man to death.

A dramatic incident in Tharaka Nithi County of Kenya has seen a village chief allegedly beat a young man to death. The young man's dead body was found outside a mosque in Chuka.
The Kenyans reports that the victim had engaged in a serious argument with his mother, who went to report the matter to the Chief.
It was gathered that the administrator and one of the village elders went to the man's home where they thoroughly attacked him before transferring him to the chief's camp.
After the beating, they tried to lock in a police cell but officers apparently refused demanding he be taken to the hospital as he was seriously injured. Confirming the incident, Tharaka Nithi County Police Commander Mary Wangui said investigations were still underway to determine the claims by the villagers.
