In a shocking incident on Monday morning which is believed to be the first of its kind in a local village, a greedy python who had eyes bigger than its belly and swallowed a fully grown antelope, reportedly chocked to death in an attempt to regurgitate its meal, but failed.
According to a report by
Dailymail, the 20ft-long python who had swallowed the antelope after strangling it to death, was seen rolling around with an abnormally large belly in Baliavad village, near Gir wildlife sanctuary in the Indian state of Gujarat as crowd of onlookers gathered to see the python writhing in a desperate attempt to survive.
A 28-year-old man identified as Sunil Kumar, who witnessed the entire episode, said: 'I found the python lying on the road. It was struggling to digest the animal it had swallowed. It was one of the most spectacular moments I have ever witnessed as the python was unbelievably huge.'
