A pastor of one of the gospel churches in the Kubwa area of the federal capital, Abuja, who is cooling his head in police cell is blaming the devil for tempting him to r*pe his teenage maid on Tuesday in Phase 3 area of Kubwa.
According to a police source, the pastor’s wife had travelled to Lagos and the 16-year-old maid was left to take care of their two children and other domestic chores.
DailyTrust reported that trouble started when the teenage maid, wanted to run away after he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her but the pastor restrained her.
“She started crying and drew the attention of the girl’s mother who stays near the area,” the source said, adding that the man confessed to have committed the act to the mother who reported the matter to the police.
CSP Nurudeen Sabo, who is the Kubwa Divisional Police Officer, confirmed the incident. He said: “Policemen arrested the 36-year-old man of God on Tuesday. He confessed to the crime, saying that it was the devil’s work.
“The case will be transferred to the state CID for investigation but we have taken the girl to the hospital for medical examination.”
