One of the supporters of the People's Democratic Party in Ondo State has been caught in the act of spreading falsehood about a decamping exercise from their major rival, All Progressives Congress.
The alleged 2,000 decampees looking scanty
A sympathizer of the People's Democratic Party in Edo State named Ebhodaghe Godwin Junior announced on a popular online forum that the opposition party had gained over 2,000 member who decamped from the ruling All Progressives Congress to the party in support of Pastor Osagie Iyze-Iyamu - the party's gubernatorial flag-bearer.
According to the young man, the defection exercise took place in Ward 5, Esan, N.E during which brooms and memberships cards of the APC were burned in solidarity to the PDP.
The picture evidences provided by the social media user failed to convince people of the numerical strength of the defectors as they were hardly up to a 100. This led to a barrage of insults on Master Godwin.
Meanwhile, the governorship election in Edo State is less than 48hrs away and it has been predicted to be a tough contest between Godwin Obaseki of the APC and Pastor Iyamu of the PDP.
