The growing rate of people committing suicide has continued as a married man with children has decided to end his own life in a bizarre way.

According to an exclusive report by Idoma Voice, a 30-year-old man identified only as Apochi, who is married with children, has died after drinking substance believed to be rat poison in the Otukpo area of Benue State.
It was learnt that the victim had stormed Otukpo on Sunday evening demanding to see some security men, saying that some spirits were frustrating his life, but there was nobody on ground to attend to him.
Speaking to a correspondent, an eyewitness said; “He came to our area and said he was looking for security men that some spirits were chasing him. We were wondering what he wanted to do with them.
"It was that process that he collapsed and we rushed him to a hospital at Upu road in Otukpo where it was discovered that he had taken rat poison.
"The doctors later found the container of the poisonous substance in his pocket. They gave him oil to dilute the poison but it was too late. He died in the hospital.”
His corpse has since been take back to community for burial.
