The man who caused the accident, a Russian tourist was arrested yesterday morning for allegedly killing a Thai woman and her five-month-old daughter in a road accident in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district,

The tourist identified as Konstantin Volk was arrested in Soi Kasetpan while he was allegedly trying to flee in a Honda Civic after the accident.
Police suspect he was drunk and speeding when he crashed into two motorcycles that had stopped at a traffic light in South Pattaya at around 3.40am.
Amphai Inwan died at the scene. Her five-month-old daughter died at Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. Amphai's flower-vendor husband Thanongsak, a two-year-old girl and a taxi motorcyclist were severely injured.
Police conducted a blood alcohol test on Volk to determine if he would also be charged with drunk driving
