A man who was only trying to take a selfie with a python has gotten much more than he bargained for in the process.

The man pictured above (in pink by the far right) has been bitten by a python.
The was struck by the reptile after trying to take a selfie with it.
According to Sky News, the incident occurred in India's northwestern Rajasthan state after forest department officials removed the snake from a school.
They were holding the python and posing for pictures after successfully capturing it.
A man then moved in closer for a selfie and was attacked by the snake, which lunged forward and bit him on the shoulder.
According to India Today, the snake was then taken away, and the man only suffered minor injuries.
The man however did not die and is recuperating in the hospital.
