The family of Nigeria's Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele have been plunged into a gloom as his wife has been whisked away by gunmen.

It has been reported that a group of heavily armed kidnappers have abducted Margaret Emefiele, the wife of Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele.
According to the report, a source close to Mr. Emefiele revealed that Mrs. Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road.
It was disclosed that the kidnappers have made contact with the victim’s husband, adding that they were demanding a huge sum in ransom.
Mrs. Emefiele’s kidnap represents one of the most high-profile kidnap cases in 2016.
