A record-breaking feat by Enugu Rangers in the Nigerian local league yesterday shocked the South-eastern part of Nigeria after over three decades of trial.

A successful year by South-eastern football giant, Rangers FC lighted up Enugu yesterday as sport lovers were thrown into moments of hysteria.

Rangers FC were crowned Nigeria league champions on Sunday, October 2 after defeating El-Kanemi Warriors 4-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium, Enugu state.

This feat by the Flying Antelopes has seen them emerge league champions for the seventh time, hence, equalling a record set by former champions Enyimba.

However, the electrifying atmosphere at Nnamdi Azikiwe was greeted with the presence of top celebrities in various fields as they trooped in to show their support for the Flying Antelopes.

Nothing short of joy and jubilation trailed the blast of the final whistle.
