In Pictures: Man United Unveils Sweinteigger As Chelsea Presents Begovic

We bring to you the unveiling of latest football signings from English Premiere leagues clubs, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Louis Van Gaal's Manchester United completed the signing of German international, Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich for £14m on Monday morning after Van Gaal persuaded the 30-year old to leave his spiritual home. Van Gaal believes that the German will bring control and authority to the centre of United's midfield, something that has been sadly missing in recent seasons

"There is no doubting his talent and his ability to control games. He brings a wealth of experience and is an excellent addition to our squad. His record speaks for itself; he has won every honour at club level and was a major part of the successful Germany World Cup winning team last summer.

"Bastian is the ultimate professional and of course, no stranger to me. I worked with him during my time at Bayern Munich and I am truly delighted he is joining Manchester United," Van Gaal said.

Chelsea's Jose Mourinho has completed his £8million signing of Asmir Begovic in a four-year deal from Stoke City to the Stamford Bridge. The two clubs confirmed the deal on Twitter on Monday and Begovic will provide competition for Belgian Thibaut Courtois after five years playing regular football for Stoke.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina international will wear the No 1 shirt vacated by Cech when the new season starts next month, with Courtois continuing to wear No 13.

"I am very happy to be joining Chelsea. After speaking at length to the manager, I feel like I can develop here and be an important part of this team. I am looking forward to meeting up with the team on Wednesday for the pre-season tour", Begovic said.
