A man who had gotten really enraged that his newborn baby had died, has unleashed his pent up anger on the doctor who was in charge of the baby's delivery.
A machete-wielding father of a newborn baby has savagely killed a doctor.
The man hacked the doctor to death in broad daylight after his newborn died at the doctor's hospital in eastern China.
Local media reports said on Wednesday that Laigang Hospital surgeons battled for five hours to save the 34-year-old doctor, who had sustained 12 blows to the head and three to the body.
Chen Jianli, the suspected killer, reportedly felt aggrieved at the hospital’s treatment of his daughter, who died of complications related to pneumonia two days after her birth.
“After being briefed on her death, the timing of which is not known, Chen returned to the hospital early on Monday with a dagger and a machete.
“He kept it in a shoulder bag with the intention of finding the doctor,’’ the report said.
The report says that violent hospital attacks are reportedly on the rise in mainland China.
