A police officer who was just escorting a suspect to trial in the court has suffered a really tragic fate.

A police officer has been killed inside the premises of a court.
The officer was shot dead by a suspected robber at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court, South Africa, today.
News24 reports that a witness, who asked not to be named, said the police officer was escorting the suspect to court.
“While making their way up the stairs, the suspect disarmed the officer and shot him,” the witness said.
Various emergency services declared the officer dead on the scene.
Police said they would comment on the matter at a later stage.
