President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken out as the glad news of the release of 21 Chibok girls from the grip of Boko Haram, sweeps through Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to terrorist group, Boko Haram’s release of 21 Chibok girls.
 
The girls are some of the over 200 Chibok school girls who were abducted by the terrorist group in 2014.
 
Speaking on the girls' release on his twitter page few minutes after the news broke out, President Buhari said: “As I depart Abuja for Germany on an official visit, I welcome the release of 21 of our Chibok Girls, following successful negotiations.
 
“The Department of State Services (DSS) has briefed me on the matter, and will continue to provide updates.

“Cooperation on the security & humanitarian situation in the Northeast will form a significant part of my discussions with Chancellor Merkel,” the president said.
