Angry protesters have taken over an office of the Nigeria Customs Service to demonstrate their grievance over certain anomaly.

Several residents of Lagos state have staged a protest at the Nigeria Custom's office on Moboloaji Bank Anthony way, Ikeja.

The protesters today reportedly stormed the Customs office over the death of a motorcyclist, Omotosho Zaheed who was allegedly killed by some customs officers at Mosalasi bus stop, Alagbado, Lagos State last week Thursday.

According to the protesters, the officers had on the day of the incident, intercepted a trailer load of bags of rice believed to have been smuggled into the country. Hoodlums in the area tried to stop the officers from going away with the bags of rice.

In the process, the officers called for reinforcement who came in and started shooting sporadically. One of the bullets ripped through Zaheed's back, killing him on the spot in broad daylight.

The protesters are demanding justice.
