Paraga sellers in Lagos have been thrown into panic after a customer slumped and died on his way home from a drinking joint.
According to an eyewitness in Lagos, local gin sellers have gone into hiding following the death of an unidentified drunk.
The dead body of the man said to have been discovered at Alaba, along the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, on Monday, July 13.
The eyewiness said the death caused panic as local gin vendors hurriedly closed for the day for fear of being arrested in connection with the tragedy.
It was gathered that the deceased was staggering home after leaving a drinking joint where local gin, popularly called paraga is sold, reportedly fell and hit his head on the pavement.
An eyewitness said the dying man made attempts to call for help by repeatedly lifting his right hand, but that no one made any effort to assist him.
Report said when police-men from Orile Division arrived the scene, the man was confirmed dead.
