End of the Road for Armed Robbers as Security Operatives Sent them to Great Beyond in River State (Photo)

Two suspected armed robbers on Tuesday met their waterloo in Rukpokwu Obio/Akpor, while attempting to attack the newly appointed LG Caretaker Committee Chairman.

Some gallant security operatives in Rukpokwu Obio/Akpor in Rivers State, on Tuesday, shot dead two suspected armed robbers while attempting to attack the newly appointed Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairman.
 
According to reports, the three armed robbers entered the residence of the victim, Hon John Wokoma, CTC Chairman of Emohua in Obio/Akpor at about 2:20am, but were smashed by security operatives on ground in the house.
 
It was learnt that when the suspects who had gained entry into the house noticed the tight security, they opened fire on them but were overpowered by security operatives.
 
Two of them were instantly gunned down, while the other one on surveillance at the gate took to his heels through a bush when he could not contend the heavy shootout from the Anti-Robbery Unit who were already at the area on intelligence information.
 
The Rivers State police command’s Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni DSP, confirmed the incident and said: “Today (yesterday) at about 2:20am, armed robbers went to the house of a certain local government Caretaker Committee Chairman in Rivers State. They went there to attack him, but the security men in the house overpowered them."
