Ondo Election: INEC Prepares to Replace Mimiko's Choice, Jegede with Jimoh Ibrahim as PDP Candidate

Nigerian entrepreneur and billionaire, Jimoh Ibrahim is set to become the official candidate of the PDP in the forthcoming Ondo gubernatorial election as INEC prepares to bow to the injunction of a Federal High Court ruling.

Factional gubernatorial People's Democratic Party candidate in Ondo State - Eyitayo Jegede who is the anointed candidate of the outgoing Governor Olusegun Mimiko has been dealt a huge blow in his current political ambition as the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission prepares to replace his name with that of Jimoh Ibrahim who emerged as candidate under the Ali Modu Sheriff faction of the ruling party in the Sunshine state.
 
Gov. Mimiko has also been alleged to be making desperate moves to secure a 'black market injunction' through the Chief Judge of Ondo, Hon. Justice Olasehinde Kumuyi to override the previous High Court judgement given by Justice Okon Abang to substitute the name of Jegede with that of Jimoh according to Sahara Reporters.
 
INEC is expected to produce a final list of eligble candidate of all political parties in Ondo State in the next 24hrs as crisis begin to severely cripple the PDP.
 
Meanwhile, Rotimi Akeredolu - a candidate of the All Progressives Congress has recorded significant progress in his recent political outing as he moves to reconcile with aggrieved members of the his party following a controversial September 23 primary election when he emerged winner.
