A young brilliant Nigerian man is in the news for the right reason. The young student from Akwa Ibom state, Ekomobong Finbarr alongside others, have constructed and defended this solar powered tricycle (Keke) as his first degree project in Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Technology, (FUTO), Owerri.

It was gathered that the tricycle has no engine and uses just battery and solar system to work. In fact, the tricycle does not use fuel and can go 11km without hitches.

His Head of Department, Mr. Damian Dike with his colleague Dr. Mrs. Achumba enjoyed the first cruise of the Keke.

Over the past few weeks, he has painstakingly produced and defended this solar powered tricycle (Keke) as his first degree project in partial fulfillment for the award of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Technology, (FUTO), Owerri. No engine, just battery and the solar system and can go 11km without blinking.

His lecturers were completely stunned that he could pull this through. His Head of Department, Mr. Damian Dike with his colleague Dr. Mrs. Achumba enjoyed the first cruise of the Keke.
