An unnamed women group has joined the political protests against the decision of the INEC to swap the name of factional PDP candidate in Ondo - Eyitayo Jegede with that of Nigerian billionaire, Jimoh Ibrahim.

According to eye witness report, a peaceful protest is currently going on in Bolorunduro, the Headquarters of Ondo East Local Government.

This is as a result of the removal of Eyitayo Jegede's name from the final list released by INEC.

The women could be seen flaunting protestation inscriptions on their placards. Undisputed reports have it that this action as well as other protests are sponsored ploys by the People's Democratic Party governor of Ondo, Olusegun Mimiko to intimidate the Federal Government on the electoral decision independently taken by INEC.

The protests which entailed the burning of tires in Akure started since last week with INEC urging aggrieved parties to seek redress in court.
