A 7-year old boy named Promise has been brutally stabbed with a broken bottle by his mom for defiling his 2-year old step sister and the daughter of a neighbour.

A 7-year old boy was stabbed with broken bottles by his mother identified as Mrs. Blessing Fred for allegedly defiling his 2-year old step sister and a neighbour's 5-year old daughter.
The incident is said to have happened on Tunde Olusola Street, in the Ijaiye-Ojokoro area of Lagos where the boy identified as Promise went to the neighbour's apartment and met the little 5-year old girl alone. Promise took the girl to his mother's room where he told her to take off her clothes. He put his finger in her private parts and then mounted her.
The 5-year old probably confused told her mom about the incident. Promise was summoned for questioning after which he confessed to the act. This was later reported to his mother, Mrs Blessing Fred.
The 5-year old girl's mother narrates her story;
“Initially, he denied. But when the woman assured him that she would not tell his mother, he opened up and said it was true. He said he had been doing it with his step-sister too. The woman later reported Promise to his mother and he confessed to her as well.”
“She first beat him with a stick on Monday for the offence. But all of a sudden, she smashed a bottle and stabbed him in the back.”
A resident, Bose Komolafe, said Fred had been arrested by the police from the Ijaiye-Ojokoro Police Division, while Promise had been admitted to a hospital in the area.
She said, “Some neighbours rushed to rescue the child from her. He is on admission at a hospital. Whatever the child might have done wrong, such a move was too harsh.”
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident.
