The rightful gubernatorial candidate of the PDP in Ondo State will be determined tomorrow as court concludes hearing sessions.

The two contending factions of the PDP will, tomorrow, know their fate over who will be the party’s standard-bearer in the November 26 Ondo state governorship election. The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal, yesterday, reserved judgment on the matter, according to the Vanguard.

A panel of three judges led by Justice Ibrahim Saulawa disclosed this after taking final arguments. The panel, set up by the Appeal Court President, Zainab Bulkachuwa, had adjourned hearing on the matter on Monday after sitting for about 10 hours.

A previous panel had resigned based on allegations of bias by a party in the suit. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, a governorship aspirant of the PDP had approached the Appeal Court to demand that it nullifies previous decisions of a Federal High Court.

Jegede, who is of the Ahmed Makarfi faction wants the court to declare him the authentic candidate of the party.
