A young and promising Nigerian soldier fighting the Boko Haram sect in north-eastern part of Nigeria has been killed in a recent attack.

Boko Haram members have slain another soldier who worked painstakingly to protect the territorial integrity of the Nigerian state.
The photo of the unnamed young man was shared on social media by an aide to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi named Petra Akinti Onyegbule.
In his Facebook post, he wrote: "Another one pays the supreme price. Such a young, handsome man. Indeed, death has no sense of shame. Good Soldier! RIP"
His message elicited sympathetic messages on Facebook.
Boko Haram in recent times has continued to wax stronger despite the technical defeat claimed by Nigerian troops.
