A Nigerian soldier has been hit by the deadly Boko Haram sect as the fight against insurgency continues in the northeast.

This is the Nigerian soldier who has been put in serious trauma by Boko Haram.
The soldier, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, was reportedly shot by the deadly Boko Haram sect.
He sustained serious gunshot wounds during a Boko Haram attack on the community he and other soldiers were protecting in Borno state, yesterday.
He is currently hospitalized as he seeks to get better.
The battle against insurgency has dragged on in the northeast of Nigeria for years and many soldiers have ended up as casualties of the war.
