Black Sunday in Osun State as Pastor Shoots Colleague to Dead with Locally Made Gun

A pastor of one of the new generation churches has allegedly shot dead a fellow pastor, who was also his friend, with a locally-made gun in Osun State.

In an official statement released late on Sunday by the Police Public Relations Officer for the Osun State Police command, Mrs. Folasade Odoro, a pastor, identified simply as Timothy Abiola, has allegedly shot dead a fellow pastor, Pastor Bamiji Ilori, who was also his friend.
 
According to Punch Metro, the Police PPRO who revealed that the reason for the action had yet to be ascertained, did not name the church of the two pastors, adding that Abiola shot his colleague with a locally-made gun.
 
Mrs. Folasade who stated that the gun had been recovered by the police and that the incident happened in Ikire, Osun State, added that the suspect was arrested following a report made to the police by a relative of the deceased cleric.
 
She said, “Ilori had confessed to the police. Investigation into the killing has started and the suspect will soon be charged to court.”
 
She stated that the remains of late pastor had been deposited at the Catholic Hospital’s morgue in the Oluyoro area, Apomu, for autopsy.
