It is bad news for students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has announced the commencement of a nationwide warning strike.

According to information released by the union, the universities are going on a one-week warning strike because Government's failure to pay earned academic allowances, non-payment of salaries of staff in the Staff Primary schools, exemption of Universities from the Treasury Single Account and many others.

The document signed by Biondu Ogunyemi stated that the strike will start at exactly 12:01 am on Wednesday and end on the 22nd of November 2016.
