Protesting members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria have suffered irreparable losses in their recent public appearance in the northern part of Nigeria.

According to multiple social media sources, the police reportedly teargassed members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria a.k.a Shi'ites during the Arbaeen Trek from Kano.
Some of them were seriously injured while others were killed in the process. The police and Shia members have offered conflicting figures on the casualty rate.
