Shocker! Man Abducts His Friend's 5-year-old Son in Benue to Sell in Abuja

A man has caused some stir after he was found out to have abducted the son of his own friend to sell off for money.

Unogwu Agbese, a 42-year-old farmer has been arrested.
 
The man is being accused of child trafficking and was paraded on Wednesday by the Benue state Police Command.
 
According to Daily Post, the suspect, identified as Unogwu Agbese, was arrested after he abducted his friend’s five-year-old son, to sell off in Abuja.
 
Parading the suspect in Makurdi, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent Moses Yamu said: “The father of the abducted five-year-old, Emmanuel Edeh at Apa-Agila reported the case to the police.
 
“He had reported that his son was, last week, abducted by his friend from the village and taken to Abuja without his parents’ consent.
 
“However, he ran out of luck and was arrested and the child recovered from him unhurt.”
 
After much interrogation, Unogwu confessed that he abducted his friend’s son to sell but returned the boy to his parents after he could not find a buyer.
 
He said: “The boy is my friend’s son. I actually took him to Abuja to sell him, but I couldn’t find any buyer or anyone that could connect me to a buyer. So I brought him back to the village and his parents arrested me.”
 
Also, a 41-year-old man, Raphael Igye, who claimed to be a pastor, was arrested for alleged human trafficking.
