After trying several times to kill herself, a mother of three has finally succeeded in committing suicide.
Might sound crazy but after several suicide attempts, a 46 year old mother of three identified simply as Ajibola, finally succeeded in committing in killing herself in the Ajebamidele area of Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State.
According family members, the woman who had an undisclosed mental problem, had been behaving strangely for a long time and had allegedly confessed to have been spiritually attacked by some people in her family and shortly before the last attempt where she became successful, had reportedly told some people that she would soon tell the whole world those behind her predicament.
A family source narrated:
“It was when some of us arrived to listen to what she had to tell us that we discovered that she was nowhere to be found.
It was when we were searching for her that we saw her dangling body on the roof in her house.
Many times, she had threatened to take her own life. There was even a time she said she would jump into the well and we had to announce to all landlords that they should make sure that all wells are secured and covered to avoid any mishap.”
A neighbor who said the deceased was full of life when she saw Ajibola on the day she committed the suicide, described her as gentle and jovial.
“It is unfortunate that we lost her but I think she had been sick for some time.”
