President Buhari Refuses Alison-Madueke's Offer of USD250m For Immunity

Diezani Alison-Madueke has allegedly offered to return millions of dollars to the federal government in order to receive immunity from prosecution and investigation of any kind.

Sahara Reporters, the disturbed former Petroleum Minister, Alison Madueke, offered to return the hefty sum of at least $250 million dollars.

Sahara Reporters also learnt that President Buhari is not in a position to accept any compensation.

An insider source at the presidential villa revealed that the ex-minister is counting on Governor Nasir El-Rufai to assist her in negotiations with the president.

However, a positive outcome is unlikely:

“Mr President considers the $250 million as ridiculous considering the amount of money Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke is suspected to have diverted into her pocket and those of others,” an unnamed APC member told the journalist.

Alison-Madueke’s alleged move can perhaps be explained by the upcoming meeting between the US Attorney General Loretta Lynch and President Buhari during his visit to the USA.
