Trouble! FUNAAB Vice Chancellor Lands in EFCC Net for Alleged Fraud

The vice chancellor of a Nigerian University has gotten himself in more trouble than he can handle after being accused of a horrible crime.

Prof. Olusola Oyewole, the Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
 
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, a source at the commission said on Wednesday in Abuja that Oyewole was arrested for alleged financial fraud.
 
According to the source, the Vice Chancellor will be arraigned in court on Friday.
 
When contacted, the spokesman of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, declined comment on the issue.
 
“I don’t have that information yet,’’ he said.
 
NAN reports that Oyewole was invited by the commission about two months ago following allegations of financial fraud in a petition by the university’s branch of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities.
