The electorate in Ondo State are currently gearing up for a new political dispensation either under the People's Democratic Party, All Progressives Congress and Alliance for Democracy whose candidates are top contenders in the governorship race.

The election process in Ondo has been relatively peaceful and orderly according to reports. Accreditation processes and voting have been going hand in hand with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission currently on ground.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress may coast to victory in the highly contested governorship election.
