Dr. Marienne Abimbola Silva, the mother of veteran actress Joke Silva has passed away.
She died on Sunday morning, July 19th. She was 89 years old.
Dr Silva was the third female doctor in Nigeria but the first Nigerian female to bag a medical degree. She became an OON (Officer of the Order of the Niger) in 1979.
She's survived by her children and grandchildren. May her soul rest in peace...Amen.
