The relative, Mabel John, reportedly broke her legs in the road mishap.

He said, “My wife received a call at 4.30am from a rescuer that there was an accident around Mushin involving her relatives. When we got to the hospital, King was in a coma, while Mabel’s (John) legs were broken. Jeffrey, a spy police officer who drove the car, died at the spot. Two weeks after, his brother also died at the hospital.”
The accused blamed the accident on the deceased policeman who hit his vehicle on a high speed which led to his truck falling on his car. He claimed he came down to rescue the victims before he was attacked by on-lookers and had to escape to save his life. He reported himself to the police station the next day.
His counsel, O. Olayinka claimed the issue is currently being settled with the family of the deceased out of court.
