The family of a senior military officer are in distress after their son was brutally killed in battle with Boko Haram members.

A Senior military officer identified as Alolo from Safana, Katsina state has lost his life while fighting Boko Haram terrorists in the northeast part of Nigeria.
The announcement was made on Twitter by Safana which said the dead military officer was a good man who had a wonderful heart and loved helping people.
He left behind his wife and little child.
"May your soul rest in peace Alolo. Senior military officer from Safana, Katsina lost his life protecting our nation. Rest in peace Bro." Safana tweeted.
