The University of Maiduguri has suffered a tragic misfortune recently after a major building went up in flames.
The Bursary Department of the University of Maiduguri, has been gutted by fire.
The fire broke out last night causing some tension in the area.
It was reportedly a quick intervention by the state fire service and some students that helped to stop the fire from spreading out.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
