The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of maltreating members of the opposition.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisah Metuh, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of maltreating members of the main opposition party.
Metuh said: “We are being treated as if we are prisoners of war. We are being treated as if we are refugees. We are not afraid, we have faith in our strength, peace, unity and progress of Nigeria."
He stated this on Tuesday, July 21, in Lokoja Kogi State, while addressing the party’s stakeholders for the Ward 3 delegates’ congress.
He however said that that despite the threat by the All Progressives Congress (APC), the PDP was resolute to clinch the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa States in November and December, respectively.
“We are not afraid of his probes, intimidation, harassment and arrest of our members. But what we are saying is that if there are going to be arrests, let them be done within the confines of the law," Metuh said.
