Top Police Corporal Alleged to be a Cult Member Killed by Suspected Cultists in Ondo

An alleged cultist who is also a police corporal has been hacked to death by some gun men suspected to be cultists at Aule area of Akure, Ondo State capital.

A 30-year-old police corporal identified as Solomon Sunday, who is alleged to be a secret cult member, has been murdered at Aule area of Akure, Ondo State capital by some armed men suspected to be cultists.
 
According to Channels TV, the deceased corporal until his tragic demise on Sunday night, was attached to the Okuta Elerinla, Akure Division in of the Ondo State Police Command.
 
The Police spokesman in the state, Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident, dispelled the secret cult allegation and disclosed that the command had begun investigation over it.
 
“We have commenced investigation on the matter. It is a real murder case. However we can’t confirm if he belonged to a secret cult but as I said we are still investigation,” Joseph said.
 
Nevertheless, one of the residents of the area, who requested that he should not be named, narrated that the deceased was attacked on his was back home from work on Sunday night.
 
He said Sunday was shot several times by his assailants, alleging that the deceased police corporal was a member of a secret cult.

“He is one of them (cultists) maybe it was the rival cultist group that trailed and killed him as a revenge. So, one can’t say yet why he was killed,” he said.
