It is common knowledge that in contemporary times, evildoing has increased in phenomenal percentage around the world. This is one reason why world inhabitants must desist from criminal act.
I am going to start this piece with a conversational, or, let me say, a dialogic illustration. The conversation is taken to take place between a randy and promiscuous man (named Mr. Alo in this piece) and his born-again female colleague at work (named sister Toyin in this piece).
Mr. Alo and sister Toyin are both working for a non-indigenous company in Nigeria. The company has many branches across Nigeria, with more than seven branches in the Lagos metropolis. These two people are working in the Ikeja branch of the said company. The company has its Head Office situated in Victoria Island. Like I pointed it out earlier, Mr. Alo is a superior colleague of Toyin, they work in the same department.
It happened that one afternoon (at around 02:15pm Nigerian time), Mr. Alo summoned Toyin to his office where he told her they would be visiting the head office together as they have some documents to submit by hand. Toyin obliged and they set out on the journey in Mr. Alo's official car. It was after like thirty minutes of driving that Mr. Alo told Toyin that he has some of the documents they were going to submit at the head office in his home. "I worked those documents last night but forgot to carry them with me to the office this morning because I was rushing to drop my wife at the airport because she was travelling to Canada for two weeks vacation", Mr. Alo said. He drove into his compound and told Toyin to come in and relax for a while. Toyin, on entering the house, sat in the living room, waiting for her oga to get the documents so that they can proceed to the head office.
Mr. Alo (came to meet Toyin where she was sitting after spending about fifteen minutes in the room): I am sorry I did not offer you anything.
Toyin (smiling): Ah! Do not bother sir. After all, we are on an urgent official assignment. Have you gotten the docs?
Mr. Alo (grinning): Not yet. But actually, I have something very important I have been looking for a very good and perfect opportunity to discuss with you.
Toyin: Ok sir. So what is it?
Mr. Alo: I have always been watching you in the office. I always "doff my hat" for your beauty. You are a beaut among all the beautiful ladies in that our office. Your husband-to-be is a very lucky man (he laughs).
Toyin (smiling): Thank you for the compliments sir.
Mr. Alo: You see, as a beautiful lady, you need love and care. And like you know, I am up to the task to take very good care of you, both inside and outside of the office. As a matter of fact, we don't have any documents to submit at the Head Office, I just brought you home so that we can enjoy ourselves to the peak today.
Toyin (astonished): Hmm!...I have heard everything you said sir. In fact, there is no objection. But sir, before we start, I have a question for you and I'll be very glad if you sincerely answer it (nictates).
Mr. Alo (eager to hear the question): Why not? Go ahead my dear.
Toyin: Sir, I used to believe you are an elder in your church, why are you now trying to engage me in this act which, under normal condition, you should be the one fighting against it? That's the question sir.
Mr. Alo (seemingly apathetic): Well! I will say I am an elder in the church AND that is in the church only. Here, right now, I am Mr. Alo. So please forget about this "elder" thing and let's enjoy ourselves (he shrugs).
Toyin: Then, if that's the case, where do you want us to use for what you requested?
Mr. Alo (excited): That is the easiest thing on the surface of the earth as far as "NOW" is concerned. Look at this house we are, this is my own house. I mean I built it with my money and it has five rooms, executive rooms for that matter, inside it.
Toyin: Then let's move to one of the rooms to have the "enjoyment"
Mr. Alo led Toyin to the first room.
Mr. Alo: Here is one of the rooms, in fact, this is my bedroom. You see how classy it is?
Toyin: Of course yes. Hmm! Oga, not to lie, you actually spent huge money on this your house o. So luxurious! But one thing sir, we cannot use this room. Can you show me another one?
Mr. Alo took Toyin to the second, third, fourth and fifth room but she kept rejecting those rooms. It was then Mr. Alo asked what the problem could be.
Mr. Alo: I have shown you all the five rooms in this house but you rejected all. Can I know why?
Toyin: Sir, do not think I don't like your house, it is such a very lovely and luxurious house but there is one thing I kept noticing as we moved from one room to another.
Mr. Alo (now very anxious): What is that thing, Toyin? What is it? Please tell me.
Toyin: Oga, in all those rooms you took me to, I observed that GOD's eyes are clearly watching us. Sir, if you can get a place where it will be impossible for those GOD's eyes to see us, I am more than ready to give you want you want.
Mr. Alo became numbly dead and was speechless, looking at Toyin with no clue on what else to do or say.....
MY MESSAGE IS VERY SIMPLE AND BRIEF….
In all our endeavours and undertakings, both young and old, in all our going out and coming in, this "eyes" of GOD, what do we think about it???
I want to say "weldone" to those who always derive pleasure in causing and fomenting troubles. Workers of darkness, I salute all of you too; You'll be the one to orchestrate how a calamity will befall your fellow man, the same you will be the first sympathiser. Chai! Yes it may be very uneasy for man to relate the mishap to you but I am calmly demanding an answer from you; this "eyes" of GOD, what do you think about it?
I salute you a holy man in the public but of darkness accord in the hidden; You are a Christ follower in the open but within yourself, you know you are fetish and diabolical. This is Bible we are seeing in your hands but in your pockets, you have various kinds of charms. You have one known wife at home but six women concubines in the hidden; one public known husband but extra two male-friends unknowingly to people....hmmm!!!
Your own case is to compliment and flatter people in their presence but behind their back, you decorate them in filthy and character-murdering rags; you are involved in, in fact the chief planner of Mr A's death. You are the one behind how and why Mrs C divorced her husband, just because you are test-running your new marriage-disruption charm.....why??? Well! Be informed that though all these atrocities might be hidden to your fellow men, it is clearly visible in the face of GOD. Think about those eyes of GOD that see what man cannot see.
You evil doers, never forget that no one, I mean no one is hidden before GOD. This exactly is what you should ponder over and make amends. Now is the time of salvation, JESUS will soon return.
