The Governor of Imo state has been blasted after he toured the street of Owerri carrying Indomie and Obasanjo with a tuber of yam.
The photo has caused controversy online
A photo showing former President Olusegun Obasanjo carrying a tuber of yam on the streets of Owerri alongside governor Rochas Okorocha who was also carrying a carton has left many tongues wagging.
Also in the picture is Ghana's President-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo and other government functionaries.
Some Nigerians have reacted with different questions and jibes.
The former President, was in Owerri, the Imo State Capital, few days ago for the “Imo day of thanksgiving."
"Nigerian politicians can deceive themselves." someone noted.
"What is this Ghanaian incoming President looking for all over Nigeria?" another asked.
Someone else commented: "And we the youths would b killing ourselves for them.... Imagine that fool in rivers state saying I though he was against my party."
"This photo will pay the salaries and pensions owed to workers and pensioners for several months. Not so?
"Only senseless Nigerians will give any thing but lashes to the buttocks of these agbaya clowns," another concluded.
