A teenage boy who could no longer bear the intense bullying by his classmates has reacted by doing something quite terrible.
A 15-year-old junior high student in Southeast China’s Jiangxi province attempted to commit suicide by swallowing over 1.5 pounds of nails and others after a prolonged bully by his classmates.
Surnamed Hua, the boy was found in June throwing up in his boarding school. He was then rushed to the hospital, where doctors found Hua’s stomach was filled with metal nails, small rocks, and glasses. Hua had to undergo surgery to remove the objects. It was at that time when Hua revealed to his parents about his prolonged tortures by others.
“They smack me and throw out my shoes, rip off my quilt and burn down my pillow," said Hua.
“I don’t know what to do but to die.”
Hua’s parents, ignorant to the incident, were apparently shocked.
Hua was an extremely quiet and introvert student, and the incident had led to his further drawing away from the society. He had kept all these to himself until the nails in his stomach were discovered. Hua was diagnosed of mental disorder.
The class advisor had talked with the “bullies” in class but received negative response. The two classmates reported as the bullies to Hua denied it and phrased it as “kidding around”.
