As Nigeria with a high population of Christians celebrated Christmas, our gallant soldiers at the theatre of war took a break to say some prayers at the church with their guns intact.

While Nigerians celebrated the Christmas from the comfort of their homes, soldiers far away in the north east partook in the festivity while at the battlefield.

The troops could be seen in high spirits as they posed for pictures without the knowledge of what the future really holds due to the incessant nature of reprissal attacks from Boko Haram fighters.
